Enable Two-Factor Authentication on Yahoo Mail?

Two-factor authentication or two-step verification is a security feature offered by Yahoo Mail for providing a better security to its users’ information and data. Two-step verification works by providing an extra layer of security to a users’ Yahoo account. Whenever a user accesses his Yahoo account on a new device or web browser, Yahoo sends a Security code to users’ phone number which is required to be entered when signing into the account. This feature helps prevent unauthorized log into users’ account from anyone. If you also want to keep your Yahoo Mail account secure from unauthorized logins, you can enable two-factor authentication feature in your Yahoo Mail account. 8.) Moreover, if you use applications such iOS mail and Outlook to access your Yahoo Mail account, you will need to generate a special password as two-step verification feature will not work with such application.
9.) So, click on the Create app passwords option shown on the screen. However, if you don’t use any such apps to access your Yahoo Mail account, you can simply click on Skip for now button.
10.) If later you wish to generate an app password for an application to access your Yahoo Mail account, simply go to Account security page and click on the option Generate app password option located below Two-step verification.
